Dr. Romanelli has extensive experience with body lift surgeries. Dr. Romanelli trained at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. With over 15 years of private practice surgical experience on Long Island and as the Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital (a member of the North Shore LIJ Health System), Dr. Romanelli is a trusted physician as well as a board certified plastic surgeon, practicing in Suffolk County, New York. He regularly performs reconstructive, body lift and post bariatric surgeries on patients from Manhattan and Queens and throughout New York City, which is just an hour away by train or car.
Exemplifying his dedication to education and training, Dr. Romanelli updated his initial 1992 board certification by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons by recertifying in Plastic Surgery in 2005. Your Body Lift Consultation
During your consultation, Dr. Romanelli will talk to you about your goals and expectations for surgery. You are encouraged to ask questions and to talk about your concerns throughout the consultation and post bariatric surgery process. Dr. Romanelli will ask for a complete medical history, and will perform an examination of all areas of concern. Dr. Romanelli will need to evaluate your overall health, the amount of excess skin and fat necessary for removal, and your overall muscle tone. Frequently, not all areas of excess skin can be treated at once. For many patients after significant weight loss a plan of correction will involve more than one surgery.
