Your Long Island Arm Lift Procedure

Arm lift surgery at Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery is performed under a light general anesthesia, given by our board certified MD Anesthesiologist. The surgery generally takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Arm lift surgery will be tailored by Dr. Romanelli to your unique needs. Generally, a brachioplasty begins with triangular or elliptical incisions. Incisions may be limited to the armpit region, or can run from the armpit to the elbow, depending on the amount of skin to be removed. Liposuction is often used simultaneously to remove any excess fat.

Dr. Romanelli will drape and suture the remaining skin to give your arms a slimmer more contoured shape. Drains may be placed along the incision site to help reduce fluid build up that causes additional swelling. Your arms will be bandaged, and you will be given a compression wrap to speed your healing and maximize your comfort.
