Your Long Island Chin Implant Procedure
At our plastic surgery center on Long Island, chin implant surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia with light sedation (given by our board certified MD Anesthesiologist) as an outpatient surgery.
The surgery generally takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. If the procedure is performed in combination with rhinoplasty (nose surgery) or a neck lift, general anesthesia may be used and your surgery time will increase.
To request your free surgical consultation, just click, or call the office of board certified plastic surgeon Dr. James Romanelli now at (631) 424-3600.
To place your chin implant, Dr. Romanelli will first make a small incision either inside your mouth beneath your lower lip or under your chin. The implant will then be placed and secured to your chin. Finally, to complete your facial plastic surgery, the incision will be sutured. Self dissolving oral stitches are used for incisions made inside your mouth. Regular stitches are used for incisions under the chin and will be removed in 3 to 5 days. Dr. Romanelli will bandage your chin to keep the swelling down.
Across the country and here on Long Island, chin implant surgery is one of the secret gems of facial plastic surgery. Chin implants create dramatic results without drawing attention to the surgery or augmentation. To find out if a chin implant will help you achieve your desired appearance, call Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery located in Huntington, New York at (631) 424-3600 today.
