Coronal Brow Lift

For a coronal brow lift, Dr. Romanelli works with an incision behind your hairline over the top of your head. Dr. Romanelli will modify the underlying forehead muscles to remove wrinkles. Your skin will be lifted and any excess skin will be removed. Dr. Romanelli will close the incisions with dissolving sutures, as well as surgical clips. For men with receding hairlines or women with thinning hair, Dr. Romanelli may place the incision closer to your hairline so as not to add height to your forehead. No shaving of hair is required, whichever method is used.

Lateral Brow Lift

Lateral brow lifts, which may be combined with a face lift, have an incision above the ear on each side, within the hairline of the scalp, but do not extend fully over the top of the head. They are recommended for those Long Island patients with intermediate amounts of forehead drooping.

Endoscopic Forehead Lift

Endoscopic brow lifts are generally performed on our patients who have only the early signs of a sagging forehead. Dr. Romanelli makes a few small incisions behind your hairline through which an endoscope (a small surgical telescope) is inserted to view the muscles and underlying tissues of your forehead. Dr. Romanelli will delicately affix your skin in a higher position and the few small incisions are closed.
